Caldwell Objects
In an effort to create another catalog of bright, deep sky objects, Caldwell created a list of roughly 110 objects visible from both the north and south hemispheres.
Some amateurs don't consider it a true catalog, but the fact remains it is a list of some of the best bright objects sometimes missed by Messier.
